Established in 2018, Pallikoodam is a Malayalam language school dedicated in promoting and teaching the language and culture of Kerala to the NSW community. We are a member of The NSW Federation of Community Language Schools and are affiliated with the NSW Dept. of Education. We currently have a total of 50 students enrolled in our school.
We are the first Malayalam school in NSW to have made our own textbook for Level1. This book has been specifically designed by our teachers to support and match the needs of the Australian curriculum. We will be continuing this venture to design textbooks for all levels in the future.
Other awards and recognitions:
• 2019 Awarded by The United Indian Association for Excellence in Volunteer in Community Language Teaching.
• 2020 Finalist in Community Pride Award under School Category – Cumberland Council
• 2020 Selected as One of the 30 community language schools (out of 450 schools in NSW) to be A Model Pilot School for Compliance. Pallikoodam is the only Malayalam School in the list.
Pallikoodam is now accepting enrolment applications for Year 2021.
Intakes are for
Level 1 (Kindergarten – Year 1)
Level 2 (Year 2- Year 3)
Level 3 (Year 4-Year 6)
Level 4 (Year 6 -Year 10)
Level 5 (Year 11 & above -including adults)
Shown in brackets above are NSW school academic year.
Classes for year 2021 will start on Sunday 7th Feb 2021. Our classes have run on Sundays from 11:30-1:30pm (timing may change next year).
